The First Tee San Joaquin

Oak Valley Community Bank recently made a donation and presented a check to The First Tee San Joaquin.

The First Tee is a youth development organization introducing the game of golf and its inherent values to young people. Through after school and in-school programs, First Tee helps shape the lives of young people from all walks of life by reinforcing values like integrity, respect, and perseverance through the game of golf.

The donation will help ensure that children in need receive golf equipment and financial assistance to participate in First Tee programs.

United Way Fundraising Campaign 2017

Each year, the bank hosts a bowl-a-thon to support our fundraising campaign for the United Way throughout Stanislaus and San Joaquin Counties. This year marked the 12th consecutive year of the bowl-a-thon. The event was held in Manteca and slightly over $6,000 was raised to support United Way!

United Way focuses on opportunities that improve the quality of life throughout our communities by partnering with and supporting programs that enhance and improve education, financial stability as well as healthy individuals and families.

Special thanks to everyone who participated and donated to support United Way.

Second Harvest Food Bank ~ Trunk or Treat

The bank had the opportunity to volunteer with Second Harvest Food Bank this past Halloween in collaboration with Trinity Presbyterian Church in Modesto. Second Harvest brought their Mobile Fresh Truck full of grocery items to give to needy families in a Modesto. neighborhood.

We would like to thank Janis Powers, Mike Rodrigues, their spouses, and Samantha Riggs for volunteering and handing out fresh produce and grocery items to kids and families. They got to show off their spirit and dress up in costumes, while making families smile!
