United Way Fundraising Campaign 2019

Each year, the bank hosts a bowl-a-thon to raise money to support the United Way throughout Stanislaus and San Joaquin Counties. This year marked the 14th consecutive year of the bowl-a-thon. The event was held in Manteca.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk 2019

This year marked the ninth year the bank has participated in the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5k walk. As the Registration Sponsor, a team of OVCB volunteers (wo)manned the registration station helping unregistered walkers get signed up for the walk. The 5k walk started and ended at the 10th Street Plaza in Downtown Modesto.

Oak Valley Community Bank was recently recognized at Success Capital’s annual meeting as their “Most Active SBA 504 Lending Partner” in 2019. In addition, Mike Garcia, Vice President, Commercial Banking Market Manager won the award for “Largest SBA 504 Loan” and Victoria Gaffney, Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer, was named the “Most Active 504 Lender” in 2019. All three distinctions covered lending activity in San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Merced, Mariposa, and Calaveras Counties.

United Way Community Council Distributes Funds

Oak Valley Community Bank and United Way of San Joaquin recently held Grant Awards reception at the bank’s Manteca Office. This year, United Way distributed $18,000 in grants to local non- profits in the Manteca, Lathrop, Escalon, and Ripon areas. Some include Boys Scouts of America, Boys & Girls Club of Manteca/Lathrop, Hope Ministries, and more.
